Earlier, in the Fall of 2006, we featured a
young man with a bullhorn who ushered us into the first Saturday of the AISL Saturday soccer season. It is now baseball season at AISL, and needless to say baseball season is in full swing (bad pun intended). We have yet to be woken up by a boy with a bullhorn, and I have to say it's kind of fun walking around on Saturdays seeing kids wearing all types of professional baseball team uniforms. We have the Cubs, the Twins, and even the Mariners!! It's an immediate conversation starter with the parents of the Mariners who "sport our team uni's." I like this picture of Emily standing on third mostly because it's a great father-daughter shot. You can see David in the background...proud father, snappin' tons of shots of Emily. What he didn't realize at the time was that I was just
phishing and caught a one-pounder! "Scotched!" See...scotched is another one of those terms that you'd hear in Nigeria...we're going to have to save that and "getting mo'd" for a rainy day. Maybe soon we'll take you through the various expressions you'd hear only in Nigeria...until then..."care you go."

Wow to see the sun and kids playing baseball makes me want it even more to see Jacob play his first game of the season. But if the weather keeps doing what it just did last night we will never get to playing outside. We got 7 inches of snow, yes you heard right snow, the white stuff, the stuff that makes it so we can't get up our hill stuff, the stuff that makes the school close so the kids now have to go to school until June 28th, yep that's right almost July, yes that stuff that when it melts it then freezes so it all starts back up again the next day :0 Not bitter at all about this crappy winter we have had at all and so looking forward to a summer if we are blessed with one at all. Take care you two. Make sure you ask your mom how she enjoyed "The Melting Pot" we are going this Saturday for dinnner.
Just make sure when you go to the melting pot you block out the rest of your day since you'll be there like...Umm... 12 hours cooking your own food... That's what I don't understand... I go out to eat cooked food. You mean I have to pay to cook my own? =) Just kidding! It will take about 3 hours though if you do all the meals.
